OVERVIEW
Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) sewer lining is a method of trenchless rehabilitation and restoration of existing main, lateral, and vertical sewer and drain pipes. The process involves lining pre-existing pipe systems in need of repair or rehabilitation with tight-fitting, jointless, and corrosion-resistant replacement pipes and its fittings made of cured epoxy.
As many other industries, the relining industry has several names for the same thing. Sometimes it is difficult to work out what is what and if there is any generic difference between the techniques. Basically, CIPP sewer lining, trenchless sewer lining, and trenchless pipe lining all refer to the same thing. These are the most common names for installing a new structural pipe material inside an original pipe without having to tear down walls, dig, or excavate around the pipe.
COMPARISON
Repiping is the more traditional route to restore the function of a sewer pipe system – by replacing the old pipes with new ones. It is slowly but surely being replaced by the CIPP sewer lining method. And with good reason. It grants a host of advantages not only for the installers, but also for the end-customers whose pipes are being replaced.
Relining is less invasive, with a less destructive process, where the owner of the facility does not have to stay elsewhere or stop their operations until the work is completed. It is cheaper as the cost for the relining is significantly cheaper than the combined cost of repiping which includes buying the new pipes and the cost of remediation (repairing walls, floors, and other structures as well as repainting). Relining usually takes a few hours up to a few days at maximum – depending on the size of the pipe system – while repiping can take weeks to finish. Ultimately, it depends on the extent of the job and the amount of demolition required.
HOW IT WORKS
Trenchless commercial sewer line repair is performed in four steps:
Above ground, it is important to install the new liners in the flow of water, overlapping. This is to prevent the risk of sewer or drain water getting behind the new lining material over time. This way we can optimize the lifetime of the new CIPP system inside without seal-failure due to poor adherence, which is always a risk when working in old pipes.
METHOD
Repiper provides a complete solution for residential, industrial, and commercial small dimension sewer repair, offering both the necessary tools and products, and an innovative StepbyStep method. The entire process only takes a few days and is carried out at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.
ADVANTAGES
Traditional reparation and rehabilitation of sewer pipes involves acute inconvenience for the owners of the building. The buildings must either be evacuated or the owners will have to deal with noise and dust while the restoration of the pipes is in progress.
Choosing the Repiper StepbyStep system as your CIPP sewer solution provides a host of advantages to the benefit of both the owners of the building and the relining company:

What is CIPP sewer lining made of?
CIPP sewer lining is typically made of a flexible tube or fabric material impregnated with a thermosetting resin, such as epoxy or polyester, which hardens and cures to form a durable lining within the existing pipe.
How long does CIPP sewer lining last?
CIPP sewer pipe lining is designed to have a long lifespan, typically lasting 50 years or more, if well maintained.
What are the hazards of CIPP sewer lining?
CIPP sewer lining carries potential hazards such as chemical exposure, heat and fume generation, environmental concerns, and installation challenges, which can be managed through safety protocols and working with experienced professionals.
What is CIPP sewer repair installation?
CIPP sewer repair involves inserting a resin-saturated liner into a damaged pipe, which is then cured to create a new, durable pipe within the existing one
How do you install a CIPP sewer lining?
CIPP sewer lining is installed by inserting a resin-impregnated flexible liner into the existing pipe, curing it to create a new, seamless lining adhering to the interior of the original pipe.
